A lot has happened around Interstellar Sentinel, and we wanted to share a look back at some of the moments that helped define this stretch of the journey
One of the biggest standouts was seeing Caravan Mode (5-minute gaming snack-sized time attack levels) grow into much more than just another mode in the game. It became a booth attraction, a competition format, a repeatable event structure, and a reason for players to gather around Interstellar Sentinel. What made it work so well was how easy it was to understand, how fast it was to replay, and how naturally it created that “one more run” energy.
That really came to life at Canal 3 and Rio Retro Games Champion Edition. Players could walk up, understand the goal quickly, post a score, and immediately want another attempt. At the same time, spectators had something clear and exciting to follow, which made the competition side feel alive in the room. Caravan ended up being both highly playable and highly watchable, which made it a strong fit for live events.
One of the clearest signs that Caravan was working was the way it bridged newer and stronger players. At Canal 3, first-time players could jump in and feel competitive before they felt expert, while stronger players naturally became mentors by helping others improve. That made the mode more welcoming without reducing its skill ceiling, and it created the kind of human stories that stuck with us long after the event.
Rio Retro Games Champion Edition pushed that momentum even further. The competitive atmosphere was focused and energetic; standout players emerged, and the community began carrying the momentum forward through shared runs, advice, and local rivalry. That matters a lot to us because it showed how Interstellar Sentinel could keep growing through the people around it, not just through updates.
We also loved seeing merch and the art book become part of the event experience itself. At Canal 3 and Rio Retro Games Champion Edition, they were tied to prizes, leaderboard spots, and booth memories, which made them feel like something players earned or took home as part of the story rather than just extra items on the side.
We pulled a lot of these moments into our new highlights video, and we wanted to share it here with everyone who has played, competed, shown up at events, and helped make Interstellar Sentinel what it is. Watch it here:
