Repeated intro
Hello Interstate Drifter fans, as you may have noticed, it has been quiet on the Interstate lately.. No updates, no fixes, no new content, no skidmarks... I managed to create the DLC for Interstate Drifter 1999 though, and I am very pleased with the result! The DLC is called 'Hyperdrive' and it is available on Steam and in September 2024 on Cool Math Games (mobile support as well!).
What changed
- Gameplay
For 2000, the open world version of Interstate Drifter, I decided not to further develop it in it's current state, because it grew too large for a solo-dev and the game engine is showing it's age more and more. (Game Maker 1.4). I can put in another FIVE years of my life, but I wanted to try out new (smaller) game concepts as well to keep my sanity and earn some dough.
In september we'll start experimenting in a 3D engine, we'll try to make a working 3D prototype of the game, maybe it will lead us to some kind of publishing deal! I already made a mock-up design in LEGO's, the set stands proudly in my living room ^^
