Interstate Cowboys changes
A pre-alpha demo of Interstate Cowboys, our next game, is available now and throughout the remainder of the current Steam Next Fest.
This game is both the spiritual successor to Vaudeville and a completely different experience: an RPG featuring racing, heists, meaningful choices, and deception.
We are taking what made Vaudeville interesting and adding new layers of gameplay and narrative. The previously unreliable generative dialogue algorithm is now being integrated with behaviour tree-based scripted conversations. The environments will be fully explorable and interactive. We want the gameplay to be exciting and varied, while allowing players to feel the progression of the story and the consequences of their actions and choices. Steam post image
We are also proud to feature an original soundtrack by BE-XL, a project by Bechir Eklund of Swedish Hall of Fame inductees Infinite Mass.
The demo is still a bit rough around the edges and is not yet optimized for all systems, but we wanted to share the game's core ideas, atmosphere, and overall look and feel.
