Ambush System and Combat Quality-of-Life Update

This update introduces the new Ambush combat system, along with real-time control guides, skill upgrades that add new status effects, and early-stage balance adjustments.

1. Ambush System Added

A new combat system called Ambush has been added.

At the start of a turn, units that have not been detected by the enemy enter the Ambush state, gaining a 25% Stamina bonus and a unique Ambush effect for each unit.

Like existing skill upgrades, Ambush effects can also be upgraded as you progress through combat. Depending on the upgrade selected, you can strengthen each unit’s unique Ambush effect or add a new effect.

The Ambush system was added to reduce overly defensive play and allow players to approach combat more flexibly by taking advantage of enemy vision and positioning.

Units in the Ambush state can use their additional Stamina to move farther and join the battle more quickly. This reduces the time it takes for combat to fully begin and increases the overall pace of battles.

2. Real-Time Control Guide Added

The control instructions previously included in the tutorial have been simplified.

The controls currently available in each situation are now displayed in real time at the bottom-left of the screen.

You can immediately check the controls needed for movement, skill use, cancellation, camera controls, and other actions based on the current situation.

3. New Skill Upgrades

Upgrades that add new status effects have been added to certain standard skills.

Depending on the upgrade, existing standard skills can now apply new status effects such as Detected or Invincible.

4. New Fonts for Additional Languages

New fonts have been added in preparation for future Spanish, Italian, and Turkish language support.

Translations for these languages are not yet complete, but they can already be selected in the settings to play using the currently translated text.

5. Detected Status Balance Adjustment

With the addition of the Ambush system, the effects of the Detected status have been reduced.

Previously, enemies with the Detected status were affected by both allied units’ vision range and Footstep detection range. They are now affected by vision range only.

Since the Ambush system has been added, the influence of the Detected status has been reduced to preserve gameplay focused on vision and positioning.

6. Stage 1 and 2 Combat Balance Changes

The default number of enemy units appearing in Stages 1 and 2 has been increased from three to four.

In exchange, all enemy units in those stages now have their Power reduced by 1.

We determined that at least four enemy units are needed to fully convey the strategic elements of combat, including unit positioning, roles, and vision.

Although the number of enemies has increased, their Power has been reduced to prevent the early stages from becoming excessively difficult.

Closing

With this update, all of the major combat systems originally planned for Integrity have now been implemented in the game.

Thank you to everyone who has played the game and shared their feedback so far.

Please feel free to leave feedback at any time if you encounter anything inconvenient or believe something could be improved.

Bug fixes and balance improvements will continue going forward.
