This small patch addresses some issues and bugs related to AI balance, Support ships and the recent overcharge modes revamp.

AI

  • Increased Support ship's AI priority to repairs over resupplying

  • Support ships that have ran out of resource points (RP) no longer try to repair/resupply allies (potentially blocking other support ships from helping)

  • Fixed AI behavior issues with attacker's capital ships ignoring base objectives and focusing on smaller nearby enemies instead when the battle is almost won

  • Final AI reinforcement waves are now limited to a max of 4000 SP and a max wave count of 10. Longer battles should no longer feel like an infinite flood of small ships are always incoming

  • More battles balance tweaks between attackers and defenders

Gameplay / Balance

  • Repair beam now also repairs the closest weapon hardpoint next to the hit location (you no longer need to exactly target a specific hardpoint to repair hardpoints on a target, although you can still optionally do it)

  • Changing overcharge during warp no longer interrupts warp

  • Propulsion overcharge warp interruption's duration is now equal to the time you stayed in propulsion overcharge, up to a maximum of 30s. Cycling overcharge modes quickly no longer causes the 30s warp interruption

UI / Controls

  • Fixed Support ships being listed in starmap actors list

  • When propulsion is overcharged, the HUD now shows "NA" (not available) instead of the min warp speed

  • Supply icon no longer appears on HUD when a Support ship has ran out of resource points (RP)

  • Support ships being destroyed no longer causes an obsolete 'resources lost' notification to the team

Bug fixes

  • Fixed potential server crash when rebooting a match

  • Overcharging weapons no longer destroy ability hardpoints when overheating

  • Fixed a bug with game launcher's which prevented online multiplayer authentication

Misc

  • Added Support ship's unique debris

  • Fixed Support ship's skin issues which caused LOD/colors popping with another skin
