Infinite Empire changes
The biggest build yet. A full armor system, every enemy ship redesigned from the ground up, combat repairs, and a complete visual pass on the galaxy map.
🛡️ The Armor System
Paint armor directly onto your hull in the Builder, under Edit Hull Structure alongside Struts and Shapes.
- Five faction materials with distinct looks and statstitanium, brass, chitin (it regrows in combat), bone, and ceramic. New materials unlock through Tendrils.
Armor has mass. Thicker plating slows your acceleration, top speed, and turning, and your armor budget grows with the size of your frame.
Armor visibly erodes and tears as it takes hits, and the new Scan ability finds the gaps in any ship's coverage.
⚔️ Every Ship Redesigned
The entire enemy ship pool has been regenerated from the ground up.
Each faction plates its ships in its own armor belts, with real gaps to find and exploit.
Ships are built on proper structural skeletons: spines and ribs you can see when battle damage tears a hull open. Destroyed modules rip ragged, see-through breaches.
🔧 Damage Control
In-combat repair now heals your whole ship: modules, armor, and the bare hull plating between them. Breach Seal restores 5% of your ship per cast.
Repairs are visible. Scars fade, breach holes seal, and the damage heatmap tracks it all live.
🌌 The Galaxy Visual Pass
Faction territories are now living terrain, each with its own character, instead of flat tinted regions.
Refined map lighting, with your capital glowing in your flag color. Runs smoothly on large late-game maps. I hope.
☄️ Tactical Battlefields and Smarter AI
Asteroids are in. This is the first item in a series of upcoming battlefield terrain updates that will add tactical complexity and variety to each fight.
Allies properly engage reinforcement waves and drop dead targets.
Ability casting is reliable, targeting is consistent, and clicking the UI never fires your weapons.
🛠️ Fixes & QoL
Real saves are never auto-deleted. This is probably more for me than anyone else because I make dozens of saves per week while I'm iterating. The game asks before touching anything with progress in it.
Faction reactors have distinct identities, and fuel resource deposits are guaranteed near your start.
Transitions are faster across the board; the Builder opens about four times faster. Builder is the last scene in left to get a v2 visual pass, then I'll start v3 of the tactical UI.
Fixed an inventory duplication exploit, plus a batch of crash fixes.
Your feedback shapes where this goes. See you on Discord!
