addedAfter receiving multiple requests from IDM Kickstarter backers, I have finally launched a Patreon account to help fund the continued development of InfinitasDM. As my original programmer is no longer able to dedicate the time needed to continue developing InfinitasDM, I needed to find a new one to pick up the torch. It took a little longer than expected to find the right one, but a replacement has been found! With that settled, I am finally able to bring the Atom Switch IDM Patreon to life. For the whole scoop on how everything will work, check out the details from the Patreon page here. The long and short of it though, is that this support will go directly to funding new IDM features and content with an emphasis on bringing all of the features I had wanted to add, but was forced to cut, to meet the budget of the original Kickstarter's funding amount and deadline. One very important thing to note - Patreon supporters will get to vote on which new features / changes get implemented once the appropriate funding goals are met.
addedNew Features ComingTo get things started, I've decided to dip into my IDM@GenCon 2017 funds to pay for two new InfinitasDM features.
addedNew Features ComingIt can be easy to forget whether or not you are editing the Fog of War when running a campaign. Currently, the Fog of War icon changes from a bright red icon to a very dark red one. This will be updated to also add a red frame around the boundaries of the screen that will make it a lot more obvious when you're drawing on the Fog layer.
addedNew Features ComingThis will allow me to expand on the stamps that are currently available in the app, as well as potentially allow users to add their own stamps. There have been a lot of requests for different stamps (door icons, tree and mountain icons for overworld maps, etc) so it would be great to be able to add them to those already found in the app. Down the line I'd also like to add the ability to scale stamps that have been placed onto the map, but that will have to be added later on. It's a small start, but it will be fantastic to get new features coming into the app again. It will only get more difficult to find time to work on the app moving forward, but this will be a big step toward making that easier and financially possible once again. -Dan

New Features Coming

To get things started, I've decided to dip into my IDM@GenCon 2017 funds to pay for two new InfinitasDM features.

  • A more obvious graphic notification to indicate when editing Fog of War

It can be easy to forget whether or not you are editing the Fog of War when running a campaign. Currently, the Fog of War icon changes from a bright red icon to a very dark red one. This will be updated to also add a red frame around the boundaries of the screen that will make it a lot more obvious when you're drawing on the Fog layer.

  • The ability to load additional Stamps from an app-specific stamp location

This will allow me to expand on the stamps that are currently available in the app, as well as potentially allow users to add their own stamps. -Dan
