Cooking System (Redesign)
Cooking system rebuilt from scratch to reduce network overhead
Campfire and cooking table both supported
Food can be cooked, overcooked (burnt), or eaten raw with consequences
Notebook
Players can now show each other what they have drawn in real time
Draw positions can be marked on the notepad
Notes are saved and synced across the network
Notebook hidden during prologue
Trade System
NPC traders added to safe zones and new trade interiors
Full trade UI with item exchange
Trade effects and animations
Configurable trade inventories per NPC
Quest System
Quest hints and progress tracking
Quests integrated into the prologue
Sound Recordings
Audio black boxes hidden throughout the world
Players can find and play back recorded sound entries to uncover story details
Gameplay Changes
Craft from anywhere: Players can now craft using items inside chests and item stashes — no need to take items out first
Quick Item Use: Items can be quickly used directly while managing inventory
Quick Merging: Players can now merge the same type items with double clicks
Fire Barrel: Players can now light fire barrels with a torch and cook food on them; barrels are sensitive to rain and will extinguish
Teleport Trap: Explosives now teleport along with the trap when triggered
- Night VisionEffect improved visually
- Bed SystemImproved logic; gamepad cancel button now works correctly
Random Ammo in Looted Weapons: Weapons found in the world now contain random ammo counts
- Bear TrapReduced hold time; no longer triggers while player is riding/climbing
Multiplayer & Networking
Fixed: First-time item draw not replicating to other clients
Fixed: Hand IK now shows correctly for other players
Fixed: Static events leaking between sessions causing freezes on second play
Fixed: Subscriber exceptions no longer freeze the entire multiplayer session
NPC pooling added — all NPCs and AI now use a network object pool for better performance
Fixed: Race conditions in notebook sync
UI & Settings
Ultra-Wide Monitor Support (21:9 and wider)
Scroll Sensitivity option added to settings
- Auto Graphics DetectionLow-end GPUs now detected automatically and settings adjusted
Auto Exposure fixed — no longer whiteouts on low-end cards
QTE (Quick Time Event) UI: gamepad buttons now display correctly; fully localized
Welcoming UI added for new players joining a session
- Text ChatSystem messages added for player join/disconnect events; input bug fixed; blocked during active QTE
Notification system improved
Building template UI and Crafting UI now has a name filter
Performance & Stability
NPC and AI fully pooled — reduces spawn overhead in large sessions
Dynamic batching disabled; wall torch rendering optimized
Tree LODs and pine tree rendering optimized
Shader preloading added to reduce early frame drops
Fixed memory leak in save system
Fixed crash on returning to main menu
Fixed Network Transform safety issues
