Version 1.07 has just been released, bringing with it major gameplay updates and numerous fixes and upgrades. Over the last few updates we have changed gameplay mechanics numerous times, unfortunately not all of those changes have been taken positively by the community. This has been a learning experience for us as well, and we greatly appreciate feedback given by the Infect and Destroy community. To prove this, we have changed mechanics yet again. Infect and Destroy now plays from a top-down perspective, similar to the very first prototype designed over 2 years ago. It has traditional RTS elements with several twists that make the game unique. In addition, we have added numerous smaller changes and fixed several elements which now make the game more fun that it previously was. Here is a changelog of the new implementations:
New RTS Gameplay mechanics
New sound effects and sounds system
New soundtrack with endless music during gameplay
Removed Typewrite effect in World Domination Monthly Breakdown
Fixed soldier health bars staying after death in WD
Fixed infinite health for some Infected in WD
When cities are nuked in WD population decreases
Fixed Human Morale rate in WD
Fixed not being able to quit when game is finished in WD
Added dust under Helicopter units
Added shadows for all maps
