A new update for Improvised Tactics should be playable now!
Unit Customization
Unit Customization changes:
The new customization system is more flexible and scalable ːsteamhappyː
Instead of cycling through customization options, a new menu will appear, the menu will show all available options with the objects name and image
You can now color all clothing items to any color you would like using the color wheel
You are now able to delete soldier saves or squad saves in both the soldier creator menu and squad creator menu, the squad manager menu has been removed due to redundancy
Unit save slot changes:
The left side of unit customization UI is where you can manage save slots, there are two tabs, the soldier tab and the squads tab, the tabs will show your soldier and squad saves respectively
The + button will add the soldier save to the squad creator
The i button will show the squad save in the squad creator (any changes will not effect the original squad save)
The / button will delete the save
Conquest settings
When creating a new conquest game, you are able to tweak modifiers to enhance your experience
Gun Prices - How much weapons cost
Building Space - How many slots territories have that you can build in
Low Resource Grace - The impact towards your societal collapse meter when low on resources
Resource Demand - How much resources your greedy population wants
World size - How large the world map is (this does not effect the map size of battles)
Animation Tweaks:
Units that are under player control in third person mode should have different movement animations, the new animation should make running and gunning easier
Units that are under player control in first person mode will no longer play movement animations, this makes idle shooting and shooting while moving identical
General changes and fixes:
Removed the ugly blue tint from the game
Sensitivity should feel more balanced when possessing a unit
All weapons in the game have had their stats tweaked, all guns do a little less damage now. Expect more small weapon tweaks in future updates
Units can no longer damage themselves, explosive damage and friendly fire are unchanged
Removed the outdoors background in sandbox mode unit customization
Conquest changes and fixes:
Conquest mode should be more stable, although there is still minor errors from saving and loading games.
Conquest battles will now feature 3 capture points, the winner is no longer dependent on who reaches a capture point first
Fixed the weird lighting in the world map view
Enemy ai should stop invading territory when the ai's nation is defeated
Injured squads should be saved now
Fixed the error blocking the player from invading when loading into the game
Added invisible walls to the bridges in conquest matches
short term goals:
Rework conquest UI to be more scalable
Make combat less horrible
Fix the various bugs still present
Add more sandbox features
Not every single change is mention
This update will ruin any unit and conquest save you have
