"Important People of History: Abraham Lincoln" releasing Tuesday Sep 22, 2026

The release date for Important People of History: Presidents - Abraham Lincoln is being moved back to Tuesday September 22, 2026 (originally scheduled for July 3, 2026).

Why the change?

I originally aimed to have 3 video games (about George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln) all release Friday July 3, 2026 for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. This was always an ambitious goal to create 3 separate video games for simultaneous release.

To make sure the Abraham Lincoln game gets done properly, I am giving the game a bit more time. While July 3rd is a meaningful date related to Abraham Lincoln (the Battle of Gettysburg occurred July 1-3, 1863), Washington and Jefferson are the clear priorities for releasing Friday July 3, 2026 for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

The new date for the Lincoln game of Tuesday September 22 provides 2 additional months of work on the game, and the new date aligns with the timing of the Emancipation Proclamation, which was announced September 22, 1862.

Ultimately, the good news is that the Washington and Jefferson games remain on track for release Friday July 3, so you can play those games in the meantime while you wait a couple more months for the Lincoln game to arrive Tuesday September 22.
