RTS-Fest Patch Notes
General Polish and UX (First Draft)
Hotkey Profile System Implemented!
4 profiles now available: Standard, Legacy, and their respective custom variants.
Profiles saved to /KeyMappings: folder with .ImmortalHotkeys extension. You can edit them with a text editor.
If you try to change the non-custom Standard and Legacy, your changes will be overwritten.
You can add a description to your custom .ImmortalHotkeys files
Still only accessible through in-game options menu.
UI, UX, SFX, VFX, Setdressing Updates
UI now has group icons, they show highest population unit, unit count, and hotkey. They can be clicked, and they show increase/decrease animations!
Unit voicelines should now be correct for all units. (No Scepters pretending to be motes.)
Players can now reveal roles of all entities by holding "Alt."
Various improvements to icons and details across UI.
Gameplay
Added Coop PvE Missions!
How to Play Coop
Start a game in “Menus” by selecting the mode and making a lobby (No matchmaking yet, sorry!)
Adjust the difficulty to your liking! High difficulties have spicy suprises inside enemy bases. 🙂
Holdout
Classic "defend the core against waves" mission with a twist: the objective can strengthen your army!
Survive increasingly difficult waves while pushing out on to the map to accomplish bonus objectives. The enemy will occasionally deploy special units and structures to siege the Ancient Core from a safe distance so be ready to strike out!
Golem Factory
Fight for control of an ancient facility from the Elder War and use the war machines to crush your enemy! Careful though, the factory doesn't care who it makes metal soldiers for!
Additional objectives may or may not involve re-activating a massive war golem.
Immortal & Factions
General
Tweaked cooldown many Immortal abilities. Generally speaking cooldowns have been decreased except for ultimates with have less inharent counterplay (like Salvation), which have have longer cooldowns.
Ajari (Vanguards)
Ark Mother Ordained Passage
Speed of effect moving to location increased from 500 to 800
Duration of location effect (the bubble) decreased from 15s to 10s
Units entering the effect area now retains the damage reduction buff for 5s after leaving the area.
During the last test, the Ark Mother had some usability issues. This change ensures that she can do her dislodging job more reliably for the Legions of Dawn!
Xol
Hunting Ground
The whole hunting ground circle is now selectable/attackable during set-up. No more need to find a tiny entity in the middle. The tiny entity in the middle has been removed.
This should help to make early game bone stalker hunting ground base snipes a lot more defendable.
Three New PvP Maps
Snake
Macro-focused environment with long distances between each player's main.
Each main has destructible backdoors, watch out for back-stabs in the late game!
Frontiers
Short distances between mains and pyre-camps lead to frequent and early brawls. Rushes are stronger here so scout accordingly.
There is a twisting low-ground that winds through the middle. Perfect for ambushes...
Mesa
Our first vertical map, featuring bases in the south. Great for timing attacks and air rushes!
The north is resource rich and isolated, ideal for ninja expansions and sneaky pyre-harvesting.
Bug-Fixes
Fixed a bug where alt tabbing would cause the ping wheel to block normal clicking until pressed again.
Fixed an issue where the game would crash if a worker was killed while trying to build.
Fixed networking issues since last playtest 🤞
