This patch introduces a fully reworked turret targeting system that makes defenses feel more intelligent and responsive. Raids now give Energy Cycle rewards per length completed.

You’ll also find key balance updates, more input flexibility (especially on Steam Deck), and fixes that polish the game across the board.
addedAdded:New turret targeting system! Target options are gained through biased sampling and chosen based on weighted values: Health – High-damage turrets aim for tankier enemies. Rotation – Fast-rotating turrets scan around for the best target; slow ones stick to what’s in front. Distance – Most turrets prefer nearby enemies, Minigun Turrets more so than artillery turrets.

This patch introduces a fully reworked turret targeting system that makes defenses feel more intelligent and responsive. Raids now give Energy Cycle rewards per length completed. You’ll also find key balance updates, more input flexibility (especially on Steam Deck), and fixes that polish the game across the board.

Added:

  • New turret targeting system! Target options are gained through biased sampling and chosen based on weighted values:

    • Health – High-damage turrets aim for tankier enemies.

    • Rotation – Fast-rotating turrets scan around for the best target; slow ones stick to what’s in front.

    • Distance – Most turrets prefer nearby enemies, Minigun Turrets more so than artillery turrets.

Balance:

  • Room max counts raised:

Changes:

  • Build confirmation skip instructions now shown in the Rebind screen on "Selection Modifier".

  • More secondary binding options on desktop.

  • Infected enemies now appear even after completing the story.

  • Report/Email buttons removed from Steam Deck UI.

  • Steam Deck now defaults to gamepad controls.

  • Click tutorial indicator now says “Press”.

  • Orb and Drop Select now use separate bindings (both default to TAB).

Fixes:

  • Extreme Raids stay active after restarting.

  • Raid status updates correctly when switching profiles.

  • Input glyphs are now displayed more consistently.

  • Comms Hub shows correct max count.

  • Secret rewards no longer spoil themselves in tooltips.

  • Planet tooltips no loner displayed when over other UI.

  • Extreme difficulty won’t auto-select when not unlocked.

  • Inactive Growth sources won’t be reactivated if Growth is added mid-mission.
