Balance Patch v5.2.0

System Blockstun buffer increased 4 -> 5. Universal overhead: now -5 on block. Superchat reversal: now triggers IPS. Almost all light normals now have reduced meter gain on block. Exceptions are noted where relevant.

System

Blockstun buffer increased 4 -> 5.

Universal overhead: now -5 on block.

Superchat reversal: now triggers IPS.

Almost all light normals now have reduced meter gain on block. Exceptions are noted where relevant.

All EX (1-bar) moves have had their meter penalty increased by 1 second.

Burst:

  • Resources required for burst are now standardized based on character health (was previously 800 across the cast). Resource required is now %-based.

  • Burst can no longer be bursted.

  • Neutral burst now provides 90 superchat (3 bars).

Characters

Fubuki

5M: On frame 7, reduced range on hitbox. On frame 8 onwards, the hitbox is as it was before.

4H: Recovery increased by 5.

214L/LSSR: Recovery increased by 5.

22H: Recovery increased by 7.

236S: Startup increased by 2.

Korone

5M: On frame 7, reduced range on hitbox. On frame 8 onwards the hitbox is as it was before.

2M: Increased pushback on block.

22L: Decreased vertical knockback on grounded opponents. 22H: Reduced damage from 160 -> 140.

Sora

22L:

  • Slightly reduced launch height.

  • Once in the air, can now drift with left/right inputs.

236S: Added a hitbox on top of Sora.

Suisei

5L/2L: Exempt from light normal meter gain reduction.

2M: Attack level increased 1 -> 2.

5H: Reduced startup by 2.

3H: Increased blockstun by 2.

236H: Armor startup decreased 11 -> 7.

214M: Damage 30 -> 60

214H: Increased projectile duration by 60 frames.

22S:

  • No longer locks Suisei out of cancelling moves when this move is used.

  • Grants additional properties when cancelled out of:

  • Dashgrants a short period of increased movement speed.
  • Backdash: grants invulnerability.

  • kyou mo kawaii

Ayame

3H: Now advances. Blockstun reduced.

236L: Recovery increased by 4.

236M: Recovery increased by 8.

214H:

  • Reduced travel range.

  • Projectile invuln startup decreased 7 -> 5.

22H: Reduced damage from 180 -> 160.

22S: Ghosts now disappear if Ayame is hit by burst.

Coco

Fire: Now lasts 2x longer.

Backdash: Invuln duration reduced by 1, recovery increased by 2.

3H: Startup increased by 2.

214L: Startup increased by 2, recovery increased by 3.

214M:

  • Slightly reduced range.

  • Animation adjusted for visual clarity when making contact with the opponent.

214H: Reduced blockstun by 7.

214G: Scaling reduced 0.5x -> 0.25x.

22G: Increased recovery on whiff.

22S:

  • Now grants 1 superchat on initial use.

  • Grants 6 superchat every 25 frames held after.

  • Projectile invuln startup decreased 14 -> 10.

236S: Startup increased by 2.

Aki

Grab: Fixed side swap tech issue.

5H:

  • Reduced blockstun by 2.

  • Reduced knockback on block for the first hit.

6M: Reduced pull in on block.

j.H: Added additional lower hitbox in later active frames.

236M:

  • Adjusted angle and spawnpoint.

  • Increased attack level by 2.

214M:

  • Adjusted angle and spawnpoint.

  • No longer whiffs on crouchers.

  • Increased upper hitbox.

  • Increased vertical juggle knockback.

j.2S: Landing lag 5 -> 0.

j.M: Increased untech time.

236L: Second wave -2 blockstun, third wave -4 blockstun. Later waves also have reduced hitbox height.

236M/H: Hitstun and blockstun increased by 5.

214M: Armor moved 1 frame earlier.

22L/M: Reduced lower hurtbox.

j.214L: Attack level of all hits is now 1.

j.214M: Increased pushback on block.

j.214H: Reduced startup by 2 frames.

Ina

4M: Can now cancel out of when hitting a projectile

3M: Can now only be canceled with special moves.

  • Grab now locks in for all hits.

22S: Takos now last longer and don’t go away upon Ina being hit.

Collabs

Roboco

Off collab:

  • Reduced time between Roboco firing the missiles and the missiles landing.

  • Increased time between missiles spawning.

  • Increased hitbox size of missiles.

Marine

Off collab:

  • No longer goes away upon the summoner being hit.

Call in:

  • Damage of the first hit is now 100; second is 50; third and fourth are 25.

Moona

Off collab: lasts for 1 second longer.

Kaela

Off collab:

  • Defense buff is now inversely proportional to max character health. Characters with higher max HP will receive a smaller defense buff, and vice versa.

  • Kaela stays out for 2 seconds longer after providing the buffs.

Fauna

Off collab: No longer provides grey health. Instead, her effect now slowly heals you for 100 health over 10 seconds. The effect goes away when you take hitstun (blockstun/chip damage does not remove the effect).

Subaru

Off collab:

  • Spawns an additional character running away from Subaru. The characters running away from Subaru damage 80 -> 40 (same damage overall).

  • No longer hitstops the attacker.

  • Attack level reduced by 1.

Miko

Off collab: Now spawns further ahead of you.

Kanata

Call-in: Damage decreased to 300.
