Idler Coaster changes
Here’s a quick summary of what’s new:
- New controlthe game now only uses 1 mouse button. All the keyboard shortcuts remain available and unchanged
New ‘’End of Day’’ mechanic: this moment is now better telegraphed and the option to end the day early is now possible
New world map: The level selection screen has been redrawn!
- UI tweaksSome buttons has been modified for increased visibility
- Tutorials tweaksnew players should now have a better onboarding experience
Various bug fixes: everyone should now have a smoother experience
Backend tweaks: Some files that were previously embedded in the .EXE are now stored separately. This should prevent some users from receiving a false positive from their anti-virus software. Please note that some AV software can still falsely flag the game as a virus. It is not. This change should at least prevent some false flags when manually scanning the .EXE with an AV software or a website like VirusTotal.
I am aware of the seriousness of that last problem and I am aware that this problem is preventing some users from experiencing Idler Coaster. Sadly, there’s no quick and easy fix I can do. To fully fix the problem and to prevent it from reappearing in the future, the game needs to be redone from scratch using another game engine. This is why the delays between updates are huge as Idler Coaster is a solo project made by a hobbyist.
I’d like to thank everyone for their patience regarding that matter and I’d like to reiterate my commitment to deliver a quality product that everyone can enjoy.
