Champion Update: Deekin

• A former member of the Dripping Fang clan, Deekin was once a Skald for a White Dragon named Tymofarrar. Once he was released from Tymofarrar's service, he set out to become the most amazing storyteller in all of Faerûn. He yearns to sing and tell stories of heroic deeds, but his songs often devolve into 'tales' of the doom that is coming to him or his companions.

The Story of Doom continues for Deekin Scalesinger.

The kobold whose life was doomed to fail has received a significant rework, modernizing his design, tweaking the numbers, and introducing some new abilities. It's time to take the Story of Doom to even greater heights!

Deekin

Patron Eligibility: Vajra, Elminster (until March 11th, 2029)

Abilities

Basic Attack

• Building Suspense(ranged) -Deekin takes aim with his crossbow and fires at a random enemy.

Formation Abilities

• Story of Doom - Deekin gains a Doom stack every 1.5 seconds, to a max of 20 stacks. Champions adjacent to Deekin do 10% more damage per Doom stack, stacking multiplicatively. Each enemy killed reduces the current Doom stacks by 20%.

• Confidence in The Boss - When Deekin has 5 or fewer stacks of Story of Doom, he causes enemies to spawn 100% faster.

• Boss Wants Speed - Deekin's Confidence in the Boss ability is increased by 20% for each familiar you have assigned to attacking enemies, stacking multiplicatively.

• Current Heroic Saga - When you complete an area with Deekin in the formation, he sets his Current Events stacks to the area number. The effect of Story of Doom is increased by 2.5% for each Current Events stack, stacking multiplicatively.

• Middle of the Action - Deekin increases the effect of Story of Doom by 100% for each Champion he is adjacent to, stacking multiplicatively. Hew Maan counts as three Champions for this ability.

Specializations

• Unorthodox Stories - Deekin increases the damage of Story of Doom by 100% for each Champion in the formation that is not a Standard Species, stacking multiplicatively. Standard species are Aasimar, Dragonborn, Dwarf, Elf, Gnome, Goliath, Halfling, Human, Orc, Tiefling, Half-Orc, and Half-Elf.

• DOOOOOM From Afar - Deekin increases the damage of Story of Doom by 150% for each Champion in the formation with a Ranged base attack, stacking multiplicatively.

• Troubadour Troupe - Deekin increases the effect of Story of Doom by 200% for each Bard in the formation, stacking multiplicatively.

Ultimate Ability

• DOOOOOOOM!(melee) -Deekin shouts DOOM as loud as he can, dealing massive damage and setting Story of Doom to max stacks for 30 seconds.
