Idle Cave Miner changes
I would like to start by thanking each and every one of you for playing Idle Cave Miner, and for leaving both positive and negative feedback, this process is essential for me to keep improving the game.
As you're probably aware, the game didn't have the best launch, not because of bugs, but because of a series of bad decisions from my part, and for that, I would like to profoundly apologize.
The main critique was the fact that the game was paid, and still had MTX, which is a very fair argument. In hindsight, I should've released the game as Free to Play, and modify the shop to fit the ad restriction from Steam. At the time, I went for the easiest solution, which was to auto purchase the 'Skip Ads' purchase, and keep the game the same as the mobile version.
In order to rectify my mistakes, Idle Cave Miner is becoming Free to Play on Steam. To the players who have already purchased the game on Steam, they will keep the skip ads purchase they received when buying the Steam version, but they will also receive the following:
5600 Premium Gems
50 Singularities of Time
The Skip Ads purchase is going to be modified on Steam, it will now double the amount of premium birds available, the default is now 5, and this purchase increases it to 10, as well as doubling offline rewards, and all the other boosts ads give on the mobile version. If you already own it, nothing changes, you still have 10 daily premium birds. The game will become F2P on Steam with version 1.10, which also brings new content and quality of life changes.
It wasn't easy to read the negative comments made about the game, but they were necessary for me to understand what my mistakes were, and how to fix them. I can't say I won't do any more mistakes, but I care, and I'll try my best to keep learning, and to keep improving Idle Cave Miner, I'm blessed to be able to do what I love for a job, and I want to continue doing it, alongside the community that rose around the game.
Thank you so much for playing, and see you on the mines... ~Pedro
