ICARUS changes
Welcome to Week 224.
The week we are adding a brand new juvenile creature - the forest wolf pup which can be obtained exclusively from breeding forest wolves.
We have also added Oil nodes to all outposts performed some animal fur optimisations, some returning workshop items quality of life and a host of other fixes.
We have also uploaded the Icarus Official Sound Track here for all to enjoy.
We also give a quick preview of what is coming next week - Carts of Bulls and Limestone Deep Ore Veins.
Notable Improvements:
Added oil geyser locations to all outposts
Both Raptors now share a talent tree. to prevent loss of progress to existing Raptors
Implemented multiple fixes for the Sandwyrm Queen fight
Fixed Dragonfly trophy mesh
Added skeletal mesh for the Quick Tamer saddle for the Bull
- BeehiveFixed Queen Bee not having a functioning fuel timer
- Dune RaptorBestiary stat changed from -5% Deep Wound Resistance to +5%
Fixed Chocolate Cake increasing food consumption rate when it should decrease it
Applied fixes and balance adjustments to the Hammerhead Slug boss fight
Quick Tamer saddle now has an aura effect, showing which juveniles are affected
Improved dropship UI clarity for workshop items when leaving the prospect
Workshop items without a valid owner are now dropped in an overflow bag when returning to space via dropship (same as EDI).
Fixed issue where player would incorrectly get a popup saying they were carrying non-returnable/non-owned items when returning via dropship with their own items
Fixed issue where default assigned envirosuit item was put in the 'Items to Drop' list when trying to return via dropship
Adjusted scaling of some confirmation UI elements to make sure they remain roughly similar in size after new ConfirmationScaleBox changes
Wild Sugar Cane can now be correctly harvested by hand or sickle and provides sugar cane instead of fiber
This Week: Forest Wolf Husbandry
This week, we’re expanding the husbandry system with the addition of Forest Wolves Pups.
Previously, players were able to capture and tame wolves. With this update, you can now breed your tamed wolves, allowing you to raise juvenile wolf pups. Once born there pups will grow into adults with their own unique genotypes and phenotypes, giving each new generation distinct traits and characteristics.
As with all animal husbandry there is a new unique serum for the wolves craftable at the ranching station.
This opens the door to more strategic breeding, letting you refine and develop your wolf line over time.
This Week: Creature Fur Optimisation
We have spent some time this week optimising the G-Fur we use on our animals not only to reduce the load required on PCs to render the fur but also improve the visual quality.

Next Week: Carts for Bulls & Limestone Deep Ore Veins
Next week, we’re adding the ability to equip Bulls with carts, allowing them to be used similarly to Tuskers and Buffalo.
We’re also introducing Limestone Deep Ore Veins across all maps, which can be found near bodies of water.

Hammerhead Boss - Increased time in egg from 10 seconds to 20 seconds. Increased time slug will wait until it looks to merge from 20 seconds to 45 seconds. Removed stacking from the slugs poison to prevent mass speed debuff. Reduced movement speed slow from slug modifier from -55% to -45%
Fixed Chocolate Cake increasing food consumption rate when it should decrease it
Fixed second Homestead cushion recipe pointing to _A when it should have been _B
Raptor Desert - Added all saddles for desert variation

Rad boss arena - more asset combo experimentation
Queen - Fixed queen being able to be killed when losing target. Fixed ability to sneak attack/killcam queen. Increased final stage threshold (go to ground to end fight) from 10% to 20% to give time to get to ground before dying
Fixed Uranium nodes showing up on Exotics radar scan results unintendedly. Remove olympus-related whitelist meta defines from Ely dev prospects. Set start time on Prom dev prospect to 10am. Set meta spawn counts on Ely dev prospects to 10
Added the quick tamer saddle skeletal mesh for the Bull
