I Thalassa changes
After 29 devlogs, you can finally play it
Hi everyone, Manuel Hosseini here. I have been building I Thalassa in the open for over two years, one devlog at a time. Today it stops being something you watch and becomes something you play.
You are not the goddess. You are her dumbest duck.
In a transformed alien ocean you serve Thalassa, a grieving AI-goddess, and her one impossible wish: bring back the doctor who created her. Your job is to dive into the biomechanical depths and recover his scattered pieces. One at a time.
What is in the build
The full story. Seven chapters of the Dr. Shinoise mystery, localized in 8 languages, with a Lore Codex that keeps every fragment you recover.
Online multiplayer. Ship against ship, board an enemy vessel, and bring your bodyguards and mounted sea animals into the fight. Invite friends straight through Steam.
Battle royale. Drop far from everyone else and be the last one breathing.
An ocean that fights back. Oxygen drains faster the deeper you go, and running out is a full-screen panic, not a number ticking down.
Regions with their own identity. Each one is announced when you cross the border, with its own environment and a minimap that follows you across.
Sea currents you can ride. Catch one with a boost and let the ocean carry you.
Build and refine. Refinery modules turn raw salvage into power and oxygen. Traders hand out their own randomly generated jobs.
Play it your way. Full gamepad support and every keyboard and mouse control remappable.
How to get in
Access runs through the Discord server, not through Steam.
Join the Discord: discord.gg/AYh7DrKDqg
Go through #verify and read #rules
Pick up your personal key in #playtest-code
Launch the game and paste it in
I need your feedback, and I made it painless
This build exists to be broken. Two ways to tell me what happened:
Press F8 in game. It ships a screenshot and the log straight to Discord. Use it the moment something looks wrong.
The feedback form: sanliuk.com/ithalassa-playtest. No numbers, no jargon. For everything you tried you just say whether it felt like too little, just right or too much. Skip whatever you did not reach. One click sends it over.
The things I most need answered: does the air run out too fast, does your ship blow up too easily, are the enemies bullet sponges, and would you actually keep playing.
Follow, do not just wishlist
Every playtest wave, every devlog and the release date get posted right here. A wishlist saves the game for later. Following is what puts these posts in your feed, so hit Follow if you want to know when the next wave opens.
Thanks for being here. Every answer you send goes straight into the next build.
