We're proud to announce that a playable demo for Hyperblade is now available on the main store page.
This demo is being made available to give everyone an idea of the direction we're going leading up to our release later this month on December 17th.
While not a complete experience this does show off single player time attack against the AI, practice mode which allows free flight around the track and local split screen racing against a friend.
We have enabled remote play, but we can't guarantee the performance of that.
The demo is not a feature complete version. We're going to be adding a lot of features, maps and drones to the game as we go.
Currently planned features to look forward to:
Combat - Inspired by games like Death Track we're going to be adding a combat mechanic to the races and increasing the amount of racers on the track.
Unlockable career mode - As you win races you'll unlock additional tracks and drones.
Increased split screen - We're looking at increasing the split screen from 2 players to 4 players.
Fully integrated gamepad support - Right now our gamepad support is marked as "partial" because the gamepad is having some issues navigating and using the color selectors for drone customization.
Online races and expansion of race sizes - At launch we'll support 1 vs 1 races against other Steam players. We're planning to increase this to 4-6 racers.
We're open to any and all constructive feedback, bug reports, and suggestions, feel free to make use of the discussion forum.
