Greetings from Hyper Empire! Thank you to everyone who has played the game and shared your thoughts. We want to make this the best experience possible for everyone. Here are the quick fix patch notes:

  • - Fixed a bug where the reward animation could get stuck on screen

  • - Fixed resource icon for Hospital and Citadel

  • - Added the Heresy as an enemy faction on Very Easy and Easy difficulties

  • - Fixed a bug where the tool tip said Workshops capped at 4 when they actually cap at 6 built

  • - The warning to build more Mining Guilds no longer appears if you have built the maximum number of mining guilds.

  • - Added a warning window and tool tip when you are close to victory

  • - Fixed a bug where Military Victory was not spawning achievements

  • - Fixed a bug in the text when attacking a trade convoy

  • - Fixed a bug where sometimes the wrong enemy carrier would display in the Sector Battle confirm window

  • - Added reward chest animation when defeating a trade convoy

  • - Increased the chance of a scan finding a trade convoy

  • - lowered the Faith rewards for defeating a trade convoy

  • - added help text to carrier information on main menu to tell you how to unlock the locked carriers

  • - tweaked Empire ability animations and added several more animations to clarify what is happening

  • - Added context tool tips to Empire abilities for more clarity

We know that the option to continue a game when you get interrupted is important to some. We are looking into what we can do about this but it will not be a quick fix. We cannot currently commit to adding this feature, but we are investigating. The game is designed as a roguelite, and the saving that occurs is your achievement progress between runs.

We also have heard that some of you want the ability to customize the victory conditions. This is already available in the game but was unlocked through achievements. We are looking to move this feature to be automatically available after you win your first game instead. This is also not a quick fix.
