HYDROPUNK changes
We're ready to share progress we've made over the last month: 333 more playtest invitations have been sent out. Welcome to the depths!
What has changed:
Gameplay & Balance
Reduced the number of zombies in the office area.
Reworked attack animations for all monsters — initial phases are more readable now
Tuned up enemy attack timings
Quests & Items
Napalm now attaches to the character upon pickup.
Reworked quest around the Rebreather pickup: it now hangs on the character who was "consumed" by the biomass at the Antrey's gate.
After crafting the rebreather, the game now shows you where you can dive.
Level Design
Moved the shortcut on the scaffolding in the docks.
Added the bonus loot drop above the "Help" sign at the start of the docks, more convenient to reach.
Blocked off underwater spots where it wasn't clear you could fall through.
Minor level design tweaks (fewer gaps, more convenient item placement).
Visuals & Narrative
Increased overall brightness and reduced excessive darkness.
- Narrative fixesupdated text in notes and dialogue.
Quality of Life
Crafting and closing the tutorial window now use hold instead of click.
Added visual representation for quest items (rebreather, napalm).
Added sorting to the quest log (completed quests moved to the bottom).
It may seem a little, yet we have to admit - we're a small team working on the game after hours, and we make small but steady steps. That's why it's so important to receive your feedback.
