HWTC: Happy Worker Tool Company changes
Version 1.1.2 - Critical Stability Hotfix
The Council is pleased to announce critical stability improvements to workplace safety protocols:
[Critical Fix] Graphics System Stability
Following reports of unexpected facility-wide power failures affecting worker equipment, the Council's Technical Division has identified and resolved multiple graphics rendering conflicts that were causing complete system shutdowns.
Issues Resolved:
Fixed graphics API incompatibility causing system restarts on certain AMD Radeon hardware (particularly RX 580 series)
Resolved audio system instability during facility transitions
Corrected camera controller cleanup procedures during shift changes
Optimized shadow rendering system to prevent GPU resource exhaustion
Technical Details:
DirectX 11 Optimization The facility has been reconfigured to utilize DirectX 11 exclusively for improved hardware compatibility and stability across all approved workstation configurations.
Audio System Improvements Corrected a critical issue where audio processing could reference destroyed sound sources during scene transitions, potentially causing driver-level instabilities.
Camera Controller Safety Enhanced cleanup procedures for camera transition effects to prevent access to destroyed objects during facility area changes.
Shadow Rendering Optimization Adjusted shadow atlas configuration and quality settings to maintain visual fidelity while preventing GPU timeout conditions. Workers may notice a modest decrease in frame rendering speed (approximately 10-20%), however the Council prioritizes operational stability over maximum performance.
Performance Impact:
Workers may experience slightly reduced frame rates in exchange for significantly improved system stability. A functioning workstation at 45-50 frames per second is preferable to one that requires constant system recovery procedures.
The Council thanks all workers who submitted incident reports through the Steam platform. Your feedback helps maintain the safety and productivity of our glorious Republic's facilities.
Estimated Crash Reduction: 90-95% of reported system restart incidents should now be resolved.
Remember: Stable tools make productive workers. Productive workers serve the Republic.
Known Issues:
Reduced shadow rendering distance may be noticeable in some facility sections
Frame rate may be lower on older hardware configurations
If you continue to experience stability issues after this update, please submit a detailed report through the Steam Community Hub including your hardware specifications.
