Current Status of the Demo

Hi there! Few days ago, I confirmed Hunteroids will be part of the Steam Next Fest in October. In order to be ready, I have been working hard on the Demo and the progress is quite positive!

addedGamepad Support, making main controllers configurable via the GUI. Surely, the most difficult part as I had to learn new things so I was not sure if I would be able to make it. Luckily, it is now finished although there are few things to polish.

Few days ago, I confirmed Hunteroids will be part of the Steam Next Fest in October.

In order to be ready, I have been working hard on the Demo and the progress is quite positive!

In short, the major part of the work is already done and I would like to have the first version of the Demo available in Steam in a few weeks for internal testing. Basically, I still need to test everything in general, adjust the difficulty so the game can be more attractive and polish the interface.

More in detailed, here you have the progress so far!

  • City of 5 levels with the basic mechanics completed.

  • I have included the following in the City: Star-based rating for 4 different categories (life, bubbles, time & general), 1 Steam Achievement if 3 stars in general category and online leaderboards.

  • 4 challenges that will be unblocked if 3 stars are reached in the City for any of the categories mentioned above. Online leaderboards, Star-based rating & 1 Steam Achievement (if 3 stars in all challenges) are also included.

  • Gamepad Support, making main controllers configurable via the GUI. Surely, the most difficult part as I had to learn new things so I was not sure if I would be able to make it. Luckily, it is now finished although there are few things to polish.

  • General configuration: language, volumes and SFX.

And, what remains? Well, the list is now limited if we are talking about the first version!

  • Adjust the difficulty of the game

  • Polish the interface for different gamepads (icons, ...)

  • Testing in general and minor polish

  • In terms of marketing: update the trailer, update Demo Steam page & upload the Demo to Steam
