Hunternet Starfighter changes
Dear pilot,
I’m excited to share the first look at the H-1500 Zweihänder, the Earth Alliance Navy’s new heavy strike fighter. Expertly modeled by our 3D artist BoxWeld, the Zweihänder builds on the distinctive design language established with its sister ship, the L-1550 Rapier.
True to its namesake, the Zweihänder delivers devastating firepower with a spinal-mounted Gauss cannon, making it a fearsome presence on the battlefield. Huge thanks to BoxWeld for his outstanding work, and to all of you for helping to make it possible.

In our last update, I discussed the new aerodynamic flight model and how pleased I was with the results. At the time, I didn’t have any good footage to share, but I’ve since uploaded a video that showcases the new atmospheric combat on our official YouTube channel. I think you’ll enjoy seeing it in action.
Since the last update, asteroid mining is now complete and thoroughly tested. To help refine the experience, I also implemented a simple supply game mode. Mining is now a core role, equal to dogfighting or bombing, while staying true to the piloting focus at the heart of Hunternet.
For all aspiring miners, I've recorded a new Hunternet Academy video with a detailed miners checklist.
Master Asteroid Mining
With asteroid mining in place, I’ve moved on to carrier travel, the next essential milestone. This is the second major update for carriers as they take their role as the backbone of logistics and manufacturing in the persistent universe. I’ve recorded a short showcase highlighting the work in progress, including remote carrier piloting.
Carrier Travel Mini Update
On the community side, I’d like to highlight LT Gaming, one of my favorite channels. They cover genres close to my heart, dig deep into hidden gems and classics, and keep a sharp eye on promising new releases. They’ve covered Hunternet before, but a few weeks ago, they released their first video dedicated entirely to Hunternet. It’s an excellent overview that captures many key aspects often overlooked. I can't recommend their channel enough, so be sure to check it out.
Hunternet - The Space Combat Sim to Watch!
Once the carrier travel update is finished, I’ll work with playtesters to capture fresh carrier-centric footage. While I spend most of my time building the game, showcasing good gameplay is vital to getting Hunternet on the radar of fellow space sim fans. As we approach testing of our first mine, build, conquer war in the persistent universe, I plan to gradually ramp up promotion.
Thanks again for your continued support. Developing and playtesting these new mechanics has me especially excited for what’s ahead, and I look forward to keeping you updated on our progress.
Until next time, good mining pilot,
Fernando Z
