Hunt of the Reptorians changes
Hi Reptorian Hunters,
Thanks to everyone that was involved in the latest playtest. The feedback has been great. People seem to be enjoying the combat section of the game. However, the campaign section of the game seemed to bog down the experience and pacing of the game. I had a similar feeling while playing myself. So, we've decided to redesign the campaign part of the game over the last couple of months.
Now, the campaign is from the perspective of your bridge, sitting in your captain's chair.
The primary goal is then same - to make it back to Earth (with a powerful enough ship to defeat the Reptorian mothership), and you still have to duck and hide from enemy ships and deal with interesting events on your way. But you do so via events that appear on the viewscreen and decisions you make via clicking on the in-game control panels.
I think it's looking pretty nice, even in its initial state. As always, big props to our talented illustrator for bringing this to life (https://www.instagram.com/screwdycrow/) ❤.
I think it feels a lot better, nipper and more natural to play now.
August 2025 Playtest
Now that we've got a basic version of the new campaign working, we'd like to do another playtest to get some early feedback on it.
If you’ve already been on a Playtest, you don’t need to do anything, your existing Steam Key will continue to work and the game will automatically update in Steam. I’ll email you when I push the update.

When the playtest starts, you’ll receive a Steam key to access the playtest. Feedback will be via a special channel in the Discord.
Up Next
With this new campaign, I think the core gameplay loop is basically there. So the next developments will be about deepening and extending the game. New cards, new mechanics, more events in the campaign etc.
To make things a bit more interesting, we're thinking about having themed updates. The next one will be "Panic!", which will add a bunch of mechanics and cards around morale.
Until next time,
James
