Hue Factory changes
We've been hard at work tidying up Hue Factory and listening to your feedback. Today, we're rolling out a major update focused on late-game balance, accessibility, and some highly requested visual indicators to keep your production lines running smoothly.
Here is everything included in today's patch:
Main Updates
Factory Jam Indicators: No more hunting for the bottleneck! Jams now feature a high-contrast red warning icon hovering directly above the affected machine.
- Color Assistance ModeWe have added a brand-new Color Assistance mode that adds text to indicate the color to ensure everyone can comfortably enjoy the color theory and blending mechanics.
Late-Game Quest Scaling: To balance the late game, quests will now dynamically scale the more you take them.
- New Machine VariantsWe’ve added brand-new variants for the Splitter (3-way and 2-way) and Mixer machines, giving you even more flexibility for your complex routing and logic setups.
- New Themes AddedWe are introducing two completely new themes to customize your workspace: Island Vibes and Magical Library .
Dark Mode for All: The Default Dark theme is now unlocked for all players right from the start!
Quality of Life & Bug Fixes
Gameplay & UI:
Smarter Quest Rewards: Quest rewards will now always show 3 distinct options. No more duplicates taking up a reward slot!
- Clearer SpawningLevels now have updated visuals to clearly indicate exactly which spots can and cannot spawn Creators.
- Bite-Sized TutorialsWe’ve split up the Tutorial Cards to make them much easier to digest for new players.
- Menu NavigationFixed inconsistencies with the Escape key menu. You can now reliably close all machine menus using ESC.
Visuals & Bug Fixes:
- Visual SynchronizationFixed a bug where machine visuals weren't syncing properly when using the factory pause or fast-forward features.
Upgrade Syncing: Upgrade visuals are now perfectly synced across all machines on the factory floor.
- Hotbar FixesResolved an issue that was causing hotbar highlighting to display incorrectly.
- Save File InsuranceFixed a bug where the Box Insurance reward would not expire correctly when restoring a run from a save file.
