Hozy changes
We have some very exciting news to share with you today: Hozy has a brand new demo for you to play as part of Steam Next Fest!
We’ve got lots of new things for you to try; shall we take a deeper dive?
New Level 🔦
Grab a flashlight, light your candles, and make sure you’ve got your trusty…glowstick? The city has lost power just as a famed musician has returned; you’ll have to go to work despite the dim conditions, and show this home the love it deserves. We’re sure you’ll be up to the challenge!
Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to play some of your favourite previous levels: The Attic and Workshop are playable in the demo, too.
Neighbourhood Diorama Menu 📍
That’s right, you’ll now have a menu to select which room you’d like to work on! Simply click on the building you’d like to start cozy-fying, and away you go!
Obviously, this is still a demo version, so you won’t be able to select all of the levels, but we think it will give you a nice taste of how it will look in the full game.
Revamped Photo Mode 📸
We know how much our wonderful community love sharing their screenshots - and how much we enjoy seeing them - so you’ve got a revamped photo mode to play around with in this demo!
Right now, there are two fun filters for you to try out, with more to come in the full game. Don’t forget to share yours on socials using #MakeItHozy or on our Discord! (Links to both are at the end of this post).
…and so much more! ✨
Of course, we do have a couple more additions up our sleeves for our first ever demo: we’ve got brand new music for you to enjoy as you renovate, paint colour selections for your walls (three per level!), new hand-drawn portraits, and Steam Cloud saves! Phew - so much to enjoy!
We’ve also started working on Gamepad controls; however, these are still very much in progress, so we’d appreciate your feedback both in the Steam discussions and on our Discord.
We’re also pleased to share that a long-awaited feature will be coming in the full version of the game once it launches on March 30th: level progress saving. Exciting!
That’s everything we’ve got to share with you for now; we truly hope you enjoy the new demo, and we can’t wait to see your rooms! If you haven’t had a chance to wishlist us yet, make sure to do so on Steam, share your screenshots with us on Bluesky, Twitter, TikTok, or Instagram, and tell us what you think of the new demo on Discord!
We look forward to having more to share with you soon!
