Hey Flippers,

First of all, thank you for playing the House Flipper Remastered Collection Demo and for all the feedback you’ve shared with us during the demo period. Your reports, comments, and reviews have been incredibly helpful in highlighting areas that needed additional attention.

You won’t have to wait long to see the improvements in action - playtests will begin on March 30 during the House & Home Fest 2026, giving you guys another opportunity to try the game, see the changes we're currently working on and help us further improve the game with your thoughts and opinions.

What We've Been Working On

Based on your feedback, we identified several key areas that required improvement - particularly lighting and performance. Over the past days we’ve been reviewing your reports and investigating the scenes mentioned most often, and released 4 hotfixes in total over the course of the entire demo period. And of course, our team spent a lot of time analyzing lighting setups and technical systems to better understand what was causing the further persisting issues and how they could be improved.

The first results are already looking promising, and a number of changes have been implemented to improve lighting consistency, visual quality, and performance.

These improvements, along with a better frame rate, will be included in the next playable build, which players will be able to experience during the upcoming playtests. The jobs available in the upcoming build will be different from the ones in the demo - so 2 remastered jobs and 1 from the new DLC.

Here’s a list of changes:

  • Improved LightingAdded Screen Space Global Illumination (SSGI) for better light bounce.
  • Performance: Significant FPS and memory optimizations for smoother gameplay.

  • Save System: Enhanced stability; autosaves no longer cause hitches or freezes.

  • Tool SelectionNew visible selection wheels with smooth transition animations.
  • Player HeightIncreased player height by 10 cm for a better perspective.
  • Upscaler SupportAdded DLSS / FSR / TAAU selection and quality settings in the menu.
  • Visual ComfortRemoved Chromatic Aberration and Lens Distortion to eliminate motion sickness.
  • Sharper ShadowsIncreased shadow clarity throughout the game.
  • Emissive MaterialsFixed glowing materials for lamps and objects to display correctly.
  • Ceiling LightingFixed "ugly" shadow artifacts previously cast by ceiling lamps.
  • AtmosphereAdded a dedicated night sky.
  • Flashlight FXAdded a "heating up" effect for both standard and UV flashlights.
  • Motion BlurFixed and recalibrated for better visual quality.
  • Bug FixesRemoved duplicated doors and improved general game stability.
  • Brightness MenuImproved the intensity slider for more accurate adjustments.

Some Sneak Peeks

Since we’re continuing to work on improving the game, we’d also like to share a few small sneak peeks of what we’ve been working on recently.

A certain UI improvement, for starters - it's an update to the Pie Menu. Even when certain categories are inactive, they are still visible in the background. This should hopefully help players see how many available tool categories they have and also make it easier to remember where specific tools are located. Additionally, switching between the categories includes a smooth animation to make the interface feel a bit more visually polished.

A quick clarification

We’ve also noticed some confusion regarding the teams behind the different House Flipper projects. Frozen Way and Frozen District are separate companies, working on different titles within the franchise. House Flipper Remastered Collection is being developed by Frozen Way, while House Flipper 2 is developed by Frozen District. This means the work we’re doing on the remaster does not affect the development of House Flipper 2 or its future updates.

We’re continuing to work on improving the game as development progresses. In the meantime, join our official Discord server to discuss the game, share your designs, and connect with the community. The server supports players of both the original game and the upcoming Remastered Collection.

You can also find updates there regarding our other titles, including Farmbotic and Honeycomb: The World Beyond.

Also, our friends are releasing their game Salvage Shop Simulator on March 12, so make sure to check that out!

Thank you for playing the demo!
