🏯 Sakura DLC is now available!

After months of passionate development, we're finally ready to share this carefully crafted DLC with you!

Here at Frozen District, lots of the devs are extremely passionate about everything Japanese - constantly learning about the language and the culture. Our team traveled to Japan on a couple of occasions - most recently with inspiration for this very DLC in mind!

We can confidently say that this was a passion project for many of us here, and we went above and beyond to bring you a special kind of experience with this one! 💙

We're substantially expanding the buyers system! On top of that, we're also bringing you lots of gameplay improvements, like the long-awaited empty plots for Story Mode, tweaks to roofing mechanics, motion blur quality of life features, and some extra items on top!

• 🤝 Buyers 2.0 - a complete rework of the original system

  • 🤝 Commenting on homes (over 30 000 words were written for this update! 😮)

  • 🤝 New way of counting profit which allows for Empty Parcels in Story Mode!

  • Buyer satisfaction has a BIG impact on the price 😉

  • Moodboards for each buyer

  • 🤝 New perks, including pinning buyers 📌

  • You can buy information about especially elusive buyers 😎

  • Buyers look at many aspects - environment, building size, the items inside and even what tags the items have! Cozy and ornate or futuristic and simple? See who shows up!

  • 3 new base game buyers including Tom Marino who will guide you through the process

  • 🤝 "New items" category

  • 🤝 Search algorithm rework - now "Door" gives you "Door" instead of "Outdoor trash bin" 🙈

  • The search suggestions now include item series, companies and categories

  • Filters work with the Search function i.e. "Sakura DLC" filter + searching for "Door" results doors from the DLC at the top

• 🤝 Experimental Motion Sickness help, found in Settings/Gameplay

  • 🤝 Crosshair customization - size, color and type

  • 🤝 Third-Person Perspective Mode

  • Motion Blur is off by default

• Before and After now has 3 settings - Ultra, On and Off. The Default is On i.e. your Graphics Settings. If photos seem worse quality than before, please try out Ultra.

• 🤝Phone calls have their own slider in the Settings/Sound tab

• 🤝 Roof building improvements

  • Building now takes 3 clicks instead of 2, and is more precise

  • You can build another roof without exiting Fly mode

  • Flying to build or edit a roof should be less confusing (added tips how to fly, auto-fly height is lowered etc.)

  • Exiting from flying drops you directly below where you were, so you can easily edit the roof again

  • New roof profiles and roof bend settings which let you make East Asian roofs, domes and more!

• 🤝 Item Assembly changes

  • 🤝 The timer has been completely removed from Assembly

  • Completing assemblies unlocks the assembled item in the Store

  • The discount for completing assemblies is higher

• The Main Menu layout has changed to accommodate our future plans 😉

  • Continue game will bring your office in Story Mode

  • Sandbox Mode can be found under Play

  • DLC will show if you have DLCs added to your account

• Job improvements

  • 🤝 More items have green highlights for where they should be placed (fences, stairs, pools etc.) This also works on Jobs from mod.io 😄

  • The quest list will collapse when all items are sold or bought

  • 🤝 The quest list will now say if all tasks are completed in a room

• Item improvements

  • All jungfrau pieces and all constructions (stairs, pools) are now concrete instead of brick. You can still paint/tile them!

  • 🤝 Decorative wall lamela can be resized sideways, as well as upward

  • Kitchen jars can be filled with rice, mint, sugar etc.

• Discord Rich Presence

Fixes

• 🤝 Durham paper lamps now light up fully

• 🤝 Blue ghosts of objects when moving an object are only visible to other players. When playing solo they will be invisible

• Pie menu can be used only with the right joystick

• Price formatting in the Store

• Misc. roof fixes for cutting out grass and virtual walls

• Fixed freezes when selling fences

• Reflection probe refresh optimization

Known issues

• Button tooltips will not update when changing bindings in the settings (changed buttons will work, just the graphics is wrong). Fix is on the way.
