Hello! So, 2025 is coming to an end soon... Truth be told, we wanted to put out a HorrorVale patch before then, but there's been a few kinks here and there and it's turning into a bigger update than previously thought.

changedTruth be told, we wanted to put out a HorrorVale patch before then, but there's been a few kinks here and there and it's turning into a bigger update than previously thought.
addedNot to imply that there's a bunch of new content, but let's briefly go over what we're working on.
changedGreater Controller SupportWe're currently working on expanding controller support for the game, including D-Pad movement by default. We've got expanded controller support going for Xbox controllers, and are looking into integrating Dualshock controllers as well.
fixedBug FixesWe're working on a more permanent solution to a well documented crash that can be encountered in the game when using the moves of certain characters like Juno. The crash type typically requires such a specific sequence of events that most players will never see the crash, and it's also difficult to replicate. So far we've been Whack-A-Ghosting our way through this crash every patch. Every time we fix one specific sequence of events that can cause it, another rears its head. We want to find the root cause.
addedSlight Changes to the End of the GameEssentially, the main issue encountered is that many players, upon defeating the Act 4 Boss, expect the game to wrap up soon, not realizing it's going to actually be much longer. We've seen several Let's Players and Streamers run over time because they keep expecting the ending! The simplest way to mitigate this is to just split up the post-Act 4 Boss segment into a new Act. Called Act 5. We think this small change will go a long way to suggest to the player "Hey, there's still a good bit left. Maybe take a break?". Unfortunately right now adding a new act is also crashing all old saves. So we're trying to fix that.
fixedSlight Changes to the End of the GameOf course, there's a lot of other minor stuff being changed and fixed, which you'll be able to read in the full patch notes. As for when the next patch comes out... Well, January would be nice, wouldn't it?

Truth be told, we wanted to put out a HorrorVale patch before then, but there's been a few kinks here and there and it's turning into a bigger update than previously thought.

Not to imply that there's a bunch of new content, but let's briefly go over what we're working on.

Greater Controller Support

We're currently working on expanding controller support for the game, including D-Pad movement by default. We've got expanded controller support going for Xbox controllers, and are looking into integrating Dualshock controllers as well.

Bug Fixes

We're working on a more permanent solution to a well documented crash that can be encountered in the game when using the moves of certain characters like Juno.

Slight Changes to the End of the Game

A common complaint I've seen from people who play the game is that the ending can tend to drag. We think we've identified a way this can be helped easily without altering the game's finale in any significant way.

Essentially, the main issue encountered is that many players, upon defeating the Act 4 Boss, expect the game to wrap up soon, not realizing it's going to actually be much longer.

Of course, there's a lot of other minor stuff being changed and fixed, which you'll be able to read in the full patch notes. As for when the next patch comes out... Well, January would be nice, wouldn't it?

Future Updates

By the way, while on the topic of common critiques and suggestions, we'd also like to look into more Item Sorting options. Seems like a lot of people really want this feature! I wouldn't expect it to end up in 1.1.5, but we want to look into it!

Thanks for reading, goodbye!
