However, I have temporarily removed this feature from the full release. Why? The current combination of the character evolution tree and skill evolution chain is already immense. Forcing skill divergence into the mix would make the game unwieldy and exponentially inflate development workload. This was a tough trade-off, and if you have any brilliant ideas, I'd love to hear them—feel free to reach out!

After an intense and fulfilling development journey, I am thrilled to officially announce that my very first indie game – Honghuang Evolution – will be released on July 15!

This is more than just a game; it is the first brushstroke of an ambitious "Honghuang Pentalogy" I have envisioned. My plan is to explore the five categories of primordial beings— Feathers, Scales, Fur, Shells, and Insects (毛羽鳞裸昆) —and chronicle the complete Honghuang epic, spanning the Beast Calamity, the Longhan Tribulation, the Wu-Yao Tribulation, the Investiture of the Gods, and the Journey to the West. Honghuang Evolution is where it all begins.

【Story Background】 At the dawn of creation, ferocious beasts roamed the land, and a great tribulation loomed. You step into the role of a time-traveler who, wielding a fragment of the Jade Creation Disc (造化玉碟), transforms into a primordial being of the"Fur" (毛类) lineage. Your mission: survive, evolve, and claim a sliver of hope amidst the chaos of the Honghuang world.

Unlike most games that limit you to just one or two evolutions, we aim for boundless possibilities. I have designed a 6-tier evolution tree, with two distinct branching paths at every tier. By the time you reach the sixth tier, you will have 32 completely unique ultimate forms to choose from!

But that's just the beginning:

  • Talent Evolution: Dozens of evolution talents—some universal, others exclusive to specific character lineages.

  • Skill EvolutionSkills evolve independently through a 5-tier chain , where each evolution adds a new trait. These traits synergize with one another, unleashing devastating power in the late game.
  • Enemy Evolution: You are not the only one evolving. You will encounter many "strangely familiar" foes—they, too, have undergone their own evolutions. Every battle is a test of your survival instincts.

【Exploration & Collection】 Across the vast Honghuang landscape, you can currently discover"Primordial Spirit Roots" (先天灵根) – which grant permanent stat boosts – and"Acquired Spirit Roots" (后天灵根) – which provide powerful temporary buffs. In future updates, I plan to introduce"Primordial Spirit Treasures" (先天灵宝) – auto-trigger items – and"Acquired Spirit Treasures" (后天灵宝) – single-use nukes – to further enrich your exploration experience.
