Repeated intro
Hello Homebodies,
What changed
- Gameplay
- UI and audio
- Store
It’s been a crazy but super exciting month since launch! We can’t believe it’s already summer. With puzzles, spooks, and a deep story, we think Homebody is a great choice for a summer weekend playthrough.
Reviews are still rolling in and we’re thrilled to see what folks think about the game.
And we’re continuing to make it even better for all of you! We submitted one patch already but patch number two is going out today as well.
Patch 2 Notes:
Added Tank Controls option to Gameplay menu, enabling (even more) retro-style character control: pressing left and right makes Emily turn left or right, respectively, and pressing up or down makes Emily walk forwards or backwards, respectively. More like some of the classic games we were inspired by! By default, this is enabled on the D-Pad when using a controller, but you can adjust settings to disable this or enable Tank controls on the keyboard as well.
Time display reworked to always be shown and display a pause button when time is paused during conversations, reading books, etc.
Adjustments to camera angles and camera triggers to improve flow. Now Emily should get turned around a little less.
Some adjustments to hint system flow, sequencing, and clarity. This should quiet down "Backseat Pete" just a bit.
Changes to flow and pacing of dialogue in cutscenes and in early-game conversations with the other kids.
Keep the feedback, comments, and reviews coming and keep an eye out for that killer… 🔪
