"Hello, brothers in arms!

Today I'm introducing you to a true hero from the past, one of the most produced aircraft in history, the Il-2 "Red Bear"!

Of course, we all know the real name, but for legal reasons, I prefer to change the names of the vehicles and weapons, keeping the model name, if possible.

This aircraft was famous for its low flight, its anti-tank armament, and its very thick armor for something meant to fly, so much so that it was nicknamed the "flying tank."

In fact, we could say that the Il-2 was a sort of predecessor to the modern A-10.

This aircraft will be operated by two crew members: the pilot and the tail gunner.

The latter will be able to use only a 12.7 mm machine gun, which will be aimed rearward, essential to avoid very uncomfortable dogfights for the Il-2.

The pilot, however, will have at his disposal two 7.62 mm machine guns, two 20 mm cannons, rockets, and a few small bombs. As you can see, the aircraft's armament, in addition to its armor, gives the Bear a strong close air support orientation.

How does this aircraft fit into the game?

Simple: if the target is armored, then it's a job for this guy!

Should the Il-2 encounter aircraft like a Spitfire, or biological enemies like a Housefly or a Pteranodon, things would be very dire for the Bear, as its low speed and lack of agility would make it like a pigeon facing a hawk, especially if the gunner doesn't do his job!

I'm sure Russian fans will appreciate this unit.

If there are any weapons or units you'd like to see in HWB, let me know in the comments and I'll try to accommodate everyone, if I can.

I'm finally getting an artist to create the game's cover, but it's not as easy as I thought!

It's difficult to convey your emotions to someone else, plus you have to choose the artist carefully so as not to waste time and money, and finally, the financial aspect, which unfortunately, for me, is not at all negligible right now.

I hope to one day be able to develop HW2 without even thinking about the budget; I deserve it, and so do you!

Remind you that if you have any ideas for HWB, I'm here to listen, so we can make a better game for everyone! <3
