holoVillage: Our Cozy Days changes
Update Notes
The following update has been released for holoVillage.
Improvements / Adjustments
Time no longer passes during boss fights
Reduced the strength of some endgame fish in Fishing
Mallet price changed from 600 → 100 coins
Bug Fixes
Smithing fixes
Fixed an issue where the materials list could overflow the screen, making materials unselectable
Fixed an issue where enhancing equipment stored in the Item Box would not grant abilities
Fixed an issue where Equipment Development would become impossible once the development recipe history exceeded a certain size
Fixed an issue in the quest"Gather Emergency Supplies for the Village"where speaking to the quest giver with only part of the required delivery materials would consume those materials without progressing the quest
Fixed an issue where the first Farming Job quest could not progress if a Farm had already been purchased from Nodoka and placed before accepting the quest
If you've already placed a Farm, speak to Kedama Korone to advance the quest
Renamed a Fishing quest whose title incorrectly referenced "Volcano" even though the target fish cannot be caught there; the title now reflects the correct location
Fixed so that the player's outfit is now correctly reflected in new villager arrival event scenes
Fixed an issue where Cloud Save data was not syncing correctly between devices
Interim Measures for Environment-Specific Issues
Save data corruption caused by application crashes and similar events
A simple auto-recovery feature has been implemented in this update. However, depending on the location of the corruption, some cases may still be unrecoverable; further measures will be considered.
Window mode / resolution settings persistently malfunctioning depending on the display in use
Fullscreen mode behavior was part of the underlying issue, so following the practice of many recent titles, the game has been consolidated to its default Borderless Window setting. This is a provisional measure for users who had become unable to play, and we will monitor the situation going forward.
The combination of ultra-wide displays and Borderless Window is now supported. When playing on aspect ratios other than 16:9, black bars will appear at the margins; this is by design.
To prevent crashes, the frame rate cap is now set to 120 even when VSync is off. However, because there is little practical benefit to disabling VSync in this game, we are considering making VSync always-on in a future update.
Planned Future Improvements
Support for play in offline environments
Improvements to character movement speed and action responsiveness
Adding additional moments outside of boss fights where time does not pass
Various improvements to facility placement within the village
Ongoing Bug Fixes
Bug fixes will continue to be released on an ongoing basis, including the following:
In some environments, button guide icons may not match the connected controller type (Xbox / PS / Switch)
In rare cases, starting Fishing or attempting Fast Travel at the exact moment a day ends can leave the game stuck at night, requiring a restart
Loading"From the Start of Day"on a day a villager joins may result in the villager not being invited
Some Job Abilities are not functioning as intended
Adjusting the strike rate of fish in endgame Fishing content
