Hiragana Flashcards changes
One of the best ways to learn kana is by actually reading simple Japanese sentences, so in Patch 1.04 we added the new Phrasebook feature so you can do exactly that within the game 💜
There is now a new “Phrasebook” button in the Main menu.
The Phrasebook contains beginner-friendly sentences together with romaji pronunciation and extra explanation notes about grammar, particles, pronunciation, and small bits of cultural context.
The sentence order is designed to slowly build up your Japanese step-by-step.
It starts with greetings and introductions so you can instantly begin reading and using real Japanese. From there, the Phrasebook slowly introduces more polite expressions and gradually moves into more descriptive sentences.
As you continue, the sentences begin introducing grammar concepts like question particles, sentence structure, and i-adjectives used for colours and descriptions.
The goal is to make learning kana feel more natural by combining reading practice with actual Japanese usage instead of only memorizing symbols.
I would love to expand further on that in future updates. 🌸
