HexaScape: Cyber Defense changes
Hi everyone,
We have uploaded an update to the HexaScape demo, but before we go into detail, we want to show you the first Map of the Week:
Map of the Week
You voted your first Map of the Week, and the winner is Chaos 3 by user silverstrife. Congratulations! 🎉
Of course you can play this map (and every single one of the now 16 user maps) in the demo of HexaScape.
Demo Update
HexaScape is a work in progress. Thanks to your feedback and some of our own ideas, the game is growing and hopefully becoming more interesting and accessible.
First and foremost, we've added a re-roll feature (inspired by Balatro, you may have heard of it 😉) that allows you to re-roll the dice for the current tile. According to our first tests, this feature increases the thrill enormously...
Here's a quick summary of other improvements:
We improved the performance a lot.
We improved some of the graphics, especially the towers.
We made the game more accessible, e.g. by turning on the display of the tower range by default and by weakening the bosses.
We fixed some bugs.
Map of the Week is now highlighted in the map overview.
[Map Editor] You can now name each biome in your maps as you wish.
New Early Access release date
And there's more to come for both the demo and the upcoming Early Access release! Speaking of the Early Access release, we will be delaying the release by one month and will be entering Early Access on June 20th. But don't worry, new maps for the demo are released almost every day!
