Hexagon Heroes changes
I'm very exciting for this update! I think this really starts to put different units into different tiers. We now have two heroes and a third on the way! Well lets get to it
Brody the Brawler
Brody is a melee hero! Brody comes with four different abilities.
Ground smash
Brody powers up his mace and slams it into an opposing unit! That unit is then stunned and takes massive damage!
Battle Shout
Brody yells fiercely increasing instantly recovering HP and then recovering HP over the next few turns. He also increases his AP and DP for the duration of this buff.
Sweeping Strike
Brody pull his mace back and damages enemies in an arch. This ability will damage the target tile along with anyone standing next to the target, including your own units! Be careful! Another unique feature about this attack is that it only has a cool down of one turn!
Intense Focus
Brody takes a moment to focus, regaining all of his AP this turn. This is good for getting out of or into situations!
This combination of skills allows Brody to get in and out of combat quickly and all gives him a lot of durability!
Combining Units
I'm very excited about this concept. It should bridge the gap between the tier 1 units and the heroes by quite a bit. When playing the game before, you could obviously tell that the heroes were just so much stronger than the tier 1 units that it was almost a race to the hero tech. Well with this feature, you can take two tier one units and combine them into a tier 2 unit. i.e take two tier 1 warrior and combine them into a tier 2 warrior. A tier two warrior will essentially be as strong as two tier 1 units but only take up one space.
Buffs & Debuffs
Buffs and debuffs have been in the game for awhile but there wasn't a visual representation for them in the game. For this update, we added a swirling debuff spinner above every character in the game. If you have a buff.. or a debuff.. it'll show up there and be something you can see at a glance.
That's it! Until next time -Jesse
