The "Pretty Big" Update!

Hi! Hex of the Lich is still in heavy development, but I thought I'd post an update on the progress so far. The biggest change with this update is the switch from 3 characters to 1.

addedThe biggest change with this update is the switch from 3 characters to 1. Players often found 3 characters overwhelming, and the amount of spells and abilities each could have made for some dizzying combinations. Although that could be fun, it added a lot of complexity to the game- complexity which could be better used on the crazy spell system.
changedWhich brings us to the second BIG change- hexes can have multiple effects! You can stack up to 3 effects on each hex, combining them to do some pretty wacky stuff! Summon a minion and Empower it the same turn, create a rock and then fire chain lightning off it, or apply frail to an enemy before blowing it up with TNT!
addedOther changes: - Preview hex damage/effects without having to hover over them - Replaced the "upgrade cost" system for a "number of upgrades" system - Replaced the "recharge rate" system with a "number of charges" system - Levels are now procedurally generated - Enemies now have 1-2 abilities instead of 3 - Some statuses/effects tweaked - Removed squad/difficulty select for new (it'll be back later) - Press tab to cheat :)
addedThere are lots of new spells, enemies, music, and quality of life changes as well. The tutorial was scrapped for now, but it'll be back soon.
