addedHero's Spirit: View Distance UpdateDefaults to Original which is the game as you currently know it; but you can change it to Enhanced to increase visibility in certain situations, such as thick forests. This setting will make collection efforts easier, the choice of whether to use this new feature is up to you.
changedHero's Spirit: View Distance UpdateThere is now a slight buff to the view distance in the direction the hero is facing. Previously, visibility was omni-directional regardless of facing direction, and still is, but you will see a bit more clearly in the facing direction while in Enhanced mode. There are more nuanced changes as well in Enhanced view distance which reduce some of the noise and flickering as you wander through open spaces.
changedHero's Spirit: View Distance UpdateThese changes were very carefully crafted to eliminate zero-warning combat situations and slightly reduce screen flicker, while still being close to the original design. Forests and spiderwebs are still dangerous, but you will have the opportunity to react if moving cautiously.
