Repeated intro

Hello, everyone!

We are proud to announce that, together with Sad Cat Studios, VEA Games, Game Garden and Weappy, we have formed Nova Assembly, with our studio's CEO Denis Fedorov leading the charge as the coalition's CEO! Here is the information from our press release about Nova Assembly. Multiple studios have come together to form Nova Assembly, a holding where teams share experience and support each other’s development. Nova Assembly is co-owned and run by the participating studios. These are:

  • Unfrozen an international game development studio known for Iratus: Lord of the Dead and its current project Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, releasing on April 30th! Olden Era has surpassed 1 million wishlists on Steam, ranking among the Top-10 most anticipated titles on the platform.

  • Weappy is an independent game studio known for narrative-driven strategy and simulation games. The studio created the This Is the Police series, currently developing The Eternal Life of Goldman and Hollywood Animal, the latter receiving a Best Simulation Game nomination at ChinaJoy.

  • Sad Cat Studios is the developer of REPLACED, soon to be released on April 14th! It is a cinematic action platformer blending pixel-art aesthetics with modern lighting and animation techniques. The game has accumulated more than 850,000 wishlists, ranked among Top-30 most anticipated titles.

  • VEA Games is a game development studio known for Nikoderiko: The Magical World, a platformer that achieved an 82 Metacritic score and was featured in best platformer lists by Kotaku, Game Rant, and Gamereactor.

  • Game Garden is a game development studio with a portfolio of 15 released titles and more than 100 million cumulative downloads worldwide. The studio is known for games such as Fairy Farm, Farmdale, and Love Choice.

And a few words from our CEO about this opportunity:

“The formation of a single holding structure bringing together five commercially successful and highly promising game studios will not only enable creators of ambitious gaming projects to share invaluable expertise accumulated over years of experience, but will also allow for more efficient and strategic use of shared resources,” said Denis Fedorov, founder of Unfrozen, who will serve as CEO of Nova Assembly.

“And all that without compromising creative independence, which ultimately remains the key driver of competitiveness in today’s challenging market. In a world where we increasingly give over control to algorithms, we're uniting with like-minded people to reinforce the human element: to exchange human ideas, offer each other human support, and make human decisions together,” said Ilya Yanovich, co-founder of Weappy and incoming Creative Director of Nova Assembly.

You can find out more information about some of our games that are very close to being released by checking their respective steam pages:

And yes, we know you have questions — so let's get ahead of them!

— What does that mean for you?

Joining forces with the other studios listed here means more budget, more cool ideas and more resources available to all of us, so that we can work on Olden Era even more ambitiously than before! We will share some of our plans at a later date!

— What happens to Unfrozen?

This is not a buyout, but a collaboration with other studios. We're partnering up so that we can pursue even more opportunities and innovative projects.

— How will this work?

We will share our creative ideas, support and other means of assistance between one another. In addition to that, our studio's CEO, Denis Fedorov, has become the CEO of Nova Assembly as well, allowing Olden Era to lead the initiative! On top of that, Ilya Yanovich, co-founder of Weappy will be our Creative Director of Nova Assembly.

— Can you tell us anything about future games from Nova Assembly?

The holding's members' plans for future projects will be announced later. In the meantime, we recommend you take a look at the ambitious and highly anticipated projects coming this year:

  • Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era by Unfrozen

  • REPLACED by Sad Cat

  • The Eternal life of Goldman by Weappy

— Will it impact Unfrozen's projects?

Unfrozen retains full control over creative freedom and choices in our projects. The only impact seen will be a positive one. — Will it have any impact on the development of Olden Era?

No, there will be no changes to Olden Era, Unfrozen will continue the development in full force just as before.
