Herdling changes
We’re excited to share our latest news and updates with you all:
In case you haven’t seen it on the Steam page yet: There’s a new gameplay trailer available for HERDLING! In it, we reveal that the game will be released in Summer 2025.
Following the new trailer’s release, there was also a bit of media attention that’s definitely worth a look if you’d like to learn a bit more about the game:
“How we got the ‘Herd’ in Herdling”: Okomotive’s Creative Lead Don Schmocker gives insight into some design considerations and processes for our Calicorns.
"My Love For Incredibly Sad Games Has Me Very Excited For Herdling": GameSpot’s Mark Delaney tried a preview build of the game and shines a light on the emotional impact he expects Herdling to have.
"With 18,000 glowing Steam reviews on their lovely debut game, this indie team's game about leading cute fantasy yaks up a mountain is instantly one to watch": GamesRadar picked up on a recent social media post about our game and urges readers to keep an eye on Herdling.
In addition to press coverage, we’ve also been a lot more active on our social media recently, thanks to the addition of a Marketing and Communication Manager to our team.
Make sure to follow us on these platforms if you enjoy seeing the occasional new Herdling screenshots and clips in your feed. Shares and reposts are highly appreciated as well!
We’ll close this post with a question to the community: Do you have any questions about the game that you’d like us to dive into? We’re considering posting dev diaries here in the future, what aspect of our game’s development would you be interested in getting insight in?
Let us know what you’d like to see more of!
💜Your Okomotive Team 💜
