Update - Beta 0.10.0
A fresh batch of new features and fixes has arrived in Herd!
This update brings a solo mode for practice, a tutorial for aspiring musicians, and a range of fixes and improvements.
We also took the opportunity to retrain a few Mélodus. They now fall in line properly, organized by color in their stands. We negotiated with the stage crew to give you more time on stage, and it worked! You now have 6 measures instead of 4 to play your cards. And finally, we hired a security team to make sure battles are properly organized two players at a time.
A huge thank you to our testers, who have been incredibly quick to report issues. See you on stage!
New Features
Solo mode against the AI: a bot with its own strategy based on its deck.
The first version of the tutorial mode, designed to explain a few core mechanics.
A redesigned end-of-game screen, currently in a temporary version.
Tips now scroll in the opponent search lobby.
Matchmaking and Stability
Fixed an issue where a third player could join an ongoing match without being able to create a new lobby.
Fixed the “Matchmaking” button remaining inactive after leaving the opponent waiting lobby.
Interface and Menu
Redesigned end-of-game screen: cleaner presentation with clear Victory / Defeat / Draw display.
Fixed an issue where opening the menu paused the game only for the host. The match now continues even when either player opens the menu.
Added a new Herd-themed cursor.
Audio
Fixed music tracks overlapping when navigating between menus.
Fixed an issue where the menu music could sometimes keep playing during a match.
Cards
Fixed utility cards not marking Mélodus in the selected category.
Visual Fixes
Fixed a bug preventing Mélodus from moving to their stands.
