🌿 Update Notes — A Busier, Cozier, More Alive World
Hello friends,
This update brings a wave of life into the town — new faces, new routines, new shops, and new ways to interact with the world around you. Here’s what’s new.
👥 NPCs & Daily Life
The NPC scheduling system has been fully fixed. Characters will now walk around, follow their routines, and go about their daily tasks as intended.
10 new NPCs have joined the town, each with their own personality and dialogue.
Existing NPCs have received additional lines and improved behavior to make the world feel more alive and connected.
🛒 New Shops
Two new storefronts have opened their doors:
Cory’s Blacksmith
Finnley’s Produce Store
Both shops come with unique dialogue, inventory, and a bit of their own charm.
⚒️ Production Stations
The blacksmith now sells wine casks and distilleries.
These can be placed in the clinic cellar, where you can begin producing wine and oils.
This marks the first step toward deeper crafting and production systems.
🎞️ Animations & Interactions
Running animation added — hold Shift while moving to run.
Selected inventory items now appear above your character’s head, making interactions clearer and more expressive.
Chair sitting is implemented:
Face a chair and press F to sit.
Press F again to stand back up.
Thank you all for your patience and support as the world of the game continues to grow. I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this update — your feedback genuinely helps shape the direction of development.
Over the next week or so, I’ll be focusing on handling bug reports, polishing rough edges, and answering any questions that come in. After that, the next update will shift toward UI improvements and a new, more readable font, which should make the overall experience feel smoother and more cohesive.
Thank you again for walking alongside me on this journey. More to come soon.
