addedNew Features:Three shooting modes selectable in Options. Auto = full auto-aim (legacy). Directional (new default) = squad auto-fires only at enemies in a cone around your aim. Manual = pure twin-stick, no auto-aim. Directional gives you directional control without precise aim, while still letting you focus on positioning and abilities. Enemies within 4 meters always get shot regardless of mode.
removedNew Features:Enemies no longer die in place. Lethal hits now knock enemies back, with extra knockback in the direction of the hit. The effect is especially visible with the sniper.
changedNew Features:Hellshrines now spawn "protectors" when a player gets near them or when the shrine takes damage. There are 5 different tiers of guardian, and spawn counts scale with the number of player characters on the level and the difficulty.

Changes:

  • Game camera FOV adjusted from 28 to 22. This change was necessary for multiplayer so that characters remain readable from further away.

  • Level lighting adjusted to compensate for the FOV change. The game no longer gets as dark as before, e.g. at the end of arena levels.

  • Characters auto-swap to pistol when chasing pieces so they catch up to pieces faster.

  • Enemy Blader Advanced now speeds up as it takes damage.

  • Enemy health increased (e.g. "spitter" 1000 → 2000, "shooter" 800 → 1500).

  • Piece damage reduced and base critical hit chance values lowered.

Bug Fixes:

  • Knockback fixed. Previously only the leader character applied knockback to enemies, and the knockback direction was always away from the leader. Now the bullet's travel direction correctly determines the knockback direction.
