Firstly, we'd like to kick things off by saying how much we appreciate all of the support following the Open Beta Weekend and our announcement that launch would move to August.

Based on your feedback and our own data from the playtest, moving launch to August was the right decision to ensure we can deliver a stronger experience for players. We're incredibly grateful for your patience as we continue to improve the experience, and we can't wait to get you back in the game with us in the near future.

We also want to thank everyone for the feedback received following the Open Beta Weekend at the end of May. The survey response rate was the highest ever recorded on FirstLook following a playtest, providing the team with valuable feedback that will help guide ongoing development.

With that in mind, we wanted to provide a quick update on what you can expect over the coming months as we head toward launch.

July Crossplay Playtest

We know many console players have wanted to be involved in the testing experience, alongside PC players who are keen to jump back in and test out the improvements being made.

We therefore wanted to confirm that we are currently planning to run a crossplay playtest weekend for PC and consoles in July.

Full details will be shared closer to the event once we're ready.

Performance and Optimisation

Over the past few weeks, the team has been heavily focused on improving performance across both PC and console platforms.

This remains a key area of development as we continue working toward launch, specifically we’ve been aggressively optimising the ‘game thread’ to run faster, reducing our memory overhead and identifying bottlenecks that may have resulted in performance spikes during gameplay. Additionally a lot of work has been done server side to ensure that 100 player-games run smoother.

We are looking looking forward to sharing more about that work with you soon.

With that in mind, stay tuned for a “performance-focused” Command Post developer vlog in early July, breaking down what we've been doing behind the scenes to improve the game.

Road to Launch

There is so much more that we'd like to share with you, from detailed looks at weapons, to behind-the-scenes insights into how we deliver historically authentic experiences.

With this in mind, a raft of content will be coming your way, so be sure to follow us on all our social platforms to stay up to date with what's coming.

Thank you for your support, and stay tuned.
