Development Update

This is our first development update for Hell Express since its initial reveal. This post comes a bit later than we originally planned, apologies! We’ve been heads-down in development mode this year.

First things first, let’s talk about the question on everyone’s mind. We had originally planned to host a playtest before the end of this year, and we’re very sorry to say that we won’t be able to deliver it for now.

We ran into a few small, unexpected setbacks earlier this year, which affected our overall schedule. However, we’re happy to share that this hurdle has been resolved in the meantime and we’re fully back on track!

We truly want to thank everyone who helped us and stood by us during that difficult period. And even more so, we want to thank you—the one reading this post and patiently waiting for the game.

As for the delayed playtest, we are now tentatively planning to launch it in Spring 2026. In addition to the online playtest, we’ll also start participating in some game shows next year. All of these efforts are aimed at gathering more of your valuable feedback throughout the development process to help us make Hell Express the best it can be. In short, we’re really looking forward to much more communication with all of you next year!

Moving forward, we’ll do our best to share development updates more frequently (though they might still be a little random 😉). Please rest assured—the game is progressing steadily!
