Heart Duels Demo Update
This update refreshes the demo with new environments, NPC sprites, improved battle feedback, a cleaner interface, and new story content.
New Content
Added a new location: Military Courtyard.
Added a new NPC: Voss.
Added quest and dialogue content for Voss.
Added a world map and location selection.
Visual Improvements
Replaced old environments with new environment scenes.
Added sprites for all NPCs.
Added status indicators to NPC sprites.
Added normal maps to cards.
Card frames are now color coded.
Improved visual effects.
Improved the fireball visual effect.
Improved the timing of the ice bolt effect.
Removed the camera breathing effect from environments.
Battle Feedback
Added screen shake when a heart is hit.
Added a red screen vignette when the player has low health.
Replaced some harsh sound effects with new sound effects.
Interface Improvements
Removed the sidebar menu.
NPCs, quests, and inventory are now accessible from the top menu.
Streamlined dialogue choices.
Added slide-in and slide-out animations for dialogue menus.
Added exponential easing for punchier card movement.
Quest unlocks now show a quest detail popup.
Fixes
Fixed a bug where the player custom card could appear dimmed.
Fixed a bug where the player could get 4 copies of their custom card.
