Hub and Visaul Overhaul

Hub Now when starting a game, instead of being shown a UI for choosing a level, players will find themselves in a Hub. From this location, players can choose what chapter to start and also see their progress.

From this location, players can choose what chapter to start and also see their progress. There is 4 possible paths for a player to choose. The difficulty of each chapter is represented by a number of black flags. Each chapter has its own representation of the progress made - total levels complete and quantity of stars collected. The Hub also contains a switcher for difficulty that is located to the right of the spawn point and a switcher for enabling/disabling checkpoints to the left. The Hub has its own musical track. This addition should help the immersion.

Visual Overhaul

  • All ground tiles have been redrawn from 16x16 to 24x24 with some additional tiles.

  • Lighting has been improved.

  • Increased water reflections resolution.

  • UI visual improvements.

  • Added helpful in-world hints for player input.

Other Changes

  • Minor bug fixes.

  • Minor level design tweaks.
