Happy Bastards Combat Playtest V3 is now Live!

Version Updates:

This new version includes many changes. We won’t bother you with the details here, as you can read it all in the game’s splash screen, but in summary:

  • New art style

  • The character generator

  • Inspect mode

  • Dungeon exploration

  • Dungeon events; including traps, dialogues and dilemmas

  • Loot; including potions and battle charms

  • Out-of-combat HUD and UI

  • A few new combat elements, like the Meatshield ability or the Goblin Dung Slinger

  • Many improvements to existing combat features, stats and UX

In other words, the aim with v3 was to go beyond a simple combat playtest, and to expand it to be a dungeon delve simulation. Of course, this is in no way complete or fully polished, but we’re adding to the experience one step at a time. Let us know if you think we are on the right track.

The step after this one? The open world.
